Before contributing

• The contribution is made from the contributor's own funds.
• The contributor has not been reimbursed by another person or entity.
• The contribution complies with applicable federal and South Carolina campaign-finance law.
• The contributor is not a registered lobbyist prohibited from contributing to this office.

Current contribution limit

The South Carolina State Ethics Commission currently lists a $1,000 individual contribution limit for candidates for offices other than statewide office. Limits are cumulative and may apply separately to a primary, general, or runoff election.

The campaign treasurer must review prior contributions before accepting any amount that could exceed an applicable limit.

Information collected for reporting

The secure contribution page may request the contributor's full name, address, occupation, employer, email address, and phone number. Campaign contribution records may be disclosed in public campaign finance reports as required by law.

Not tax deductible
